About The Position

AutoZone store teams provide customer service, help customers find automotive parts and solutions, maintain inventory, and support store sales and operations. The Retail Sales Associate delivers WOW! customer service by helping customers with product selection and automotive advice, contributing to a positive and knowledgeable retail environment, and supporting team and store performance. The role also involves learning about automotive parts, tools, and promotions; assisting with select installations; and using diagnostic tools to help recommend solutions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
• Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
• Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
• Previous experience in automotive retail.
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
• Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
• Restock and organize merchandise, follow cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures, and support smooth store operations.
• Complete assigned tasks using structured processes and follow company safety policies, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions using AutoZone systems.
• Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
• Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
