Retail Sales Associate – Full Time
About The Position
AutoZone store teams provide customer service, help customers find automotive parts and solutions, maintain inventory, and support store operations. The Retail Sales Associate helps deliver WOW! Customer Service by exceeding customer expectations and contributing to a positive, knowledgeable retail environment. The role offers opportunities for career growth in an essential industry serving the motoring public. The associate assists customers with automotive advice and product selection, recommends products and promotions, supports sales goals, maintains merchandise and store organization, and follows cash-handling, loss-prevention, process, and safety requirements. The associate also stays current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions; helps install wiper blades, batteries, and light bulbs; and uses diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates to support a motivated, productive store environment and assist team members.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock merchandise, maintain store organization, follow cash-handling and loss-prevention policies, and support smooth store operations.
- Use established processes to complete tasks efficiently and follow company safety policies, including using personal protective equipment.
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
