Retail Sales Associate – Full Time
About The Position
AutoZone store teams provide customer service and help customers find parts and solutions for automotive needs. Store employees maintain inventory, assist with product selection, and provide advice while supporting sales, store operations, and a knowledgeable retail environment. The Retail Sales Associate delivers customer service, supports sales and store performance, collaborates with teammates, and helps maintain inventory and smooth store operations. The role also includes assisting customers with certain installations and using diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock and organize merchandise, follow cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures, and support store operations.
- Follow structured processes, company safety policies, and PPE requirements.
- Keep up to date on automotive parts, tools, and promotions using AutoZone systems.
- Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
