About The Position

The Retail Sales Associate, referred to in the posting as a Soft Goods Associate, engages customers in Men’s and Women’s Apparel, Juniors, Footwear, Clearance, and Fitting Rooms to drive sales and enhance the customer experience. The role provides product knowledge and world-class service, supports front-end operations, and helps maintain well-stocked, visually appealing merchandise and a clean, professional environment. The Associate builds lasting customer relationships, collaborates with the team, and provides feedback to management on operational and merchandising opportunities.

Requirements

• Strong listening and interpersonal skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate cross-functionally.
• Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to organize multiple priorities to meet deadlines and objectives.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, climb up and down a ladder, move throughout the store, and lift a 30-pound box overhead.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to learn business acumen with appropriate training.
• Strong self-accountability and a proactive drive for results.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers and provide world-class service using PGATSS Service behaviors.
• Build lasting customer relationships that encourage repeat visits.
• Seek out and engage customers throughout the Soft Goods areas, including apparel, juniors, footwear, clearance, and fitting rooms.
• Maintain working knowledge of front-end operations, including returns, exchanges, gift cards, lesson redemptions, loyalty program awards, discounts, promotions, and coupons, and assist as needed.
• Help maintain merchandise stock and visual presentation in Soft Goods areas to support sales and customer experience.
• Ensure Soft Goods areas, equipment, and supplies are maintained and operational.
• Keep the Soft Goods area clean and professionally presented.
• Explain product features, benefits, and differences to customers using in-depth product knowledge.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct and promote safety and compliance across departments.
• Stay informed about merchandising promotions and marketing events and maintain merchandising presence throughout each promotion.
• Promote the company’s products and services by informing and educating customers.
• Provide the Sales and Service Manager with feedback about operational and merchandising opportunities.
