About The Position

EZCORP is hiring a Retail Sales Associate / Retail Customer Service Team Member (Pawnbroker) at EZPawn. This role offers a career path in a fast-paced retail environment, starting with a five-week paid trainee program. Successful completion results in a $0.50-per-hour raise and promotion to Pawnbroker. Employees can pursue a Pawnbroker Certification Program for an additional $1 per hour, advance to Lead Pawnbroker (Shift Leader), and apply for an Assistant Manager position that includes a six-month training program.

The position involves interacting with customers and helping with sales, loans, and pawn items such as jewelry, electronics, and musical instruments. Team members are expected to create a friendly, courteous, and respectful customer experience. Pay is competitive and based on experience, with monthly uncapped bonus potential tied to store and individual performance. The job is located at 2601 E. Saunders St., Laredo, Texas 78041.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Customer service, cashier, or retail experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask.
• Self-motivation, a positive and outgoing personality, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test after a conditional offer.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of commonly pawned items such as tools, jewelry, firearms, or electronics.
• Sales background.
• Bilingual ability.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers in person and by phone.
• Provide excellent customer service and help customers reach mutually satisfying agreements regarding pawn items.
• Process sales, loans, and extensions.
• Perform opening and closing store duties.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulations.
