Wild Bill’s Tobacco is hiring a Retail Sales Associate to provide customer service and support daily store operations. The associate helps customers find products, answers questions, builds customer relationships, and works toward sales goals. The role also includes marketing and product-learning activities, maintaining the store, handling transactions and inventory-related tasks, and assisting with opening and closing. Associates may travel within a 15-mile radius of their home store to provide shift coverage.

The position involves shifts of 4 to 12 hours standing on the sales floor and requires the ability to twist, bend, squat, lift, and reach overhead, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

• Completion of high school or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Experience in retail environments and customer service.
• Professional, energetic, and positive attitude.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Flexible scheduling availability.
• Ability to work shifts ranging from 4 to 12 hours while standing on the sales floor.
• Ability to twist, bend, squat, lift, and reach overhead.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering phones, and assessing customer needs.
• Answer questions and resolve customer inquiries and concerns.
• Build relationships with customers and suggest products to meet their needs.
• Meet or exceed sales goals.
• Participate in opportunities to gain product knowledge.
• Participate in marketing efforts to solicit new business and promote the brand inside and outside the store.
• Assist with all retail store functions in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Keep the store clean and well stocked.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Travel within a 15-mile radius of the home store for shift coverage.
• Work with store management to open, close, and operate the retail facility, including cash handling, inventory counts, and deposits under operations control standards.
• Complete accurate paperwork and transactions according to company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the appearance of the store, back room, restrooms, and individual work area.
• Make the customer experience comfortable and simple while meeting customer needs.
• Assist with other tasks, duties, or projects assigned by management.
• Open and close the store, including locking doors and setting the alarm.
