About The Position
Sun Tan City is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to work in a high-energy salon environment. The role involves providing professional customer service, building relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and recommending products and services. Team members are expected to meet minimum sales requirements, keep salon areas clean, and work collaboratively while following company policies and procedures. The position may also require working independently during shifts as business needs require. Compensation is a base pay of $13.00 per hour or more, with performance bonuses. The posting states that team members who meet performance and training criteria average $15.00 per hour, but that amount is not guaranteed. Requirements
- Basic computer skills and knowledge.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
- Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment.
- Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes.
- Ability to bend down to pick up trash, towels, and other items from floors.
- Ability to perform salon cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
- Ability to work independently and alone during shifts as business needs require.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure clients' needs are met professionally.
- Engage with clients, build good relationships, and understand and meet their needs.
- Recommend products and services to clients.
- Meet the minimum sales requirements.
- Multitask by cleaning tanning beds as clients leave and engaging new clients as they arrive.
- Maintain the cleanliness of tanning rooms, the lobby, restrooms, laundry, and storage areas.
- Work cohesively with a team in an upbeat, fast-paced salon environment while following company policies and procedures.
