About The Position

The Retail Sales Associate provides a high level of customer service and satisfaction while selling a broad range of Omaha Steaks products and working toward sales goals. The associate represents the Omaha Steaks brand, uses product knowledge to support customers’ purchasing needs, and serves as a backup to the Store Manager. Food knowledge is welcome, and training is offered to help team members become Steak Experts. The role is based in Buffalo, New York, with a starting pay of $17.00 per hour and the potential to earn a monthly incentive of $3.00 per hour. Store hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; schedules vary based on store needs, with no early mornings or late evenings required.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Excellent customer service, sales, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers with product knowledge and purchasing needs.
Sell a broad range of products and suggest upgrades and add-ons to increase sales and achieve monthly sales goals.
Operate the retail cash register accurately, capturing customer names, addresses, and correct sales information.
Assist with receiving weekly truck deliveries.
Stock the freezer according to operating procedures and the Store Manager’s directions.
Perform physical inventory and follow inventory procedures.
Resolve customer questions or complaints.
Perform store opening or closing functions, including counting cash, preparing the nightly deposit, and securing the store.
Fulfill Buy Online, Ship from Store (BOSS) orders by accurately selecting, packing, and preparing items for timely shipment.
Maintain a clean and orderly store, including vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning restrooms as needed.
Meet attendance and punctuality expectations.
Serve as a backup to the Store Manager.
Perform other duties as assigned.
