About The Position
Macy’s is seeking a Retail Sales Associate for the Women’s Shoes department at Pembroke Lakes. The associate combines sales performance with genuine hospitality to create personalized customer experiences, understand customers’ needs, recommend products and services, and build relationships that encourage loyalty. The role focuses on meeting sales goals through customer engagement and effective selling, while helping maintain a clean, organized, and inviting shopping space. Associates prepare for the day by reviewing sales goals, learning about new arrivals, best sellers, trends, and promotions, and ensuring the sales floor is ready for customers. During shifts, they welcome and assist customers, maintain the sales floor and fitting rooms, update signage and pricing, support merchandise moves, promote loyalty benefits, and complete customer transactions. Colleagues collaborate with one another and continually work to improve individual and store results. Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled for 30 or more hours per week. Schedules include weekend shifts; hours depend on business needs and colleague availability. The position requires availability for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as regular attendance and punctuality. Physical requirements include talking, frequent movement and standing, reaching, lifting at least 25 pounds, and performing tasks such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. The role also involves use of computers, handheld equipment, and cash registers.
