About The Position

Floor & Decor’s Sales Associates provide customers with friendly, accurate service and support in finding products for their projects. Associates help maintain a fast-paced, safe store environment by keeping sales departments clean and well stocked. The role involves customer service and sales support, checkout transactions, merchandise presentation, and assisting in other store areas as needed. Full-time and part-time positions are available. The minimum base pay is $15.10 per hour, with higher starting pay available based on experience.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Knowledge of basic math skills.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure.

Nice To Haves

• Some positions may require completion of forklift certifications through Floor & Decor.

Responsibilities

• Connect with customers, ask about their projects, recommend products, and build enthusiasm for their purchases.
• Provide exceptional customer service and exceed customer expectations.
• Maintain assigned areas in an in-stock, clean, shoppable, and safe condition.
• Work with management and team members to achieve sales goals.
• Process customer purchases at checkout using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Process refunds and exchanges according to established guidelines.
• Follow cash, check, and credit card acceptance procedures.
• Create price tags and merchandise signs.
• Stock, tag, and display merchandise.
• Act and work consistently with the company’s core values.
• Follow the company’s safety processes.
• Answer telephone calls according to company guidelines.
• Assist in other store areas as needed.
• Work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
