About The Position

Floor & Decor Sales Associates provide customers with friendly, accurate service and support in finding products for their projects. They help maintain a fast-paced, safe environment by keeping sales departments clean and well stocked. The role involves assisting customers, supporting sales goals, completing checkout and merchandise tasks, and helping in other store areas as needed. Full-time and part-time positions are available.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Knowledge of basic math skills.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure.
• Some positions may require completion of forklift certifications through Floor & Decor.
• Where permitted by state law, successful passage of a drug test is required for certification to use heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Connect with customers, ask about their projects, recommend products, and build enthusiasm for purchases.
• Provide above-and-beyond customer service and exceed customer expectations.
• Maintain assigned areas in-stock, clean, shoppable, and safe.
• Work with management and team members to achieve sales goals.
• Process customer transactions at checkout using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Process refunds and exchanges according to established guidelines.
• Follow procedures for accepting cash, checks, and credit cards.
• Create price tags and merchandise signs; stock, tag, and display merchandise.
• Act consistently with the company’s core values.
• Understand and comply with company safety processes.
• Answer telephone calls according to company guidelines.
• Assist in other store areas as needed.
• Work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
