About The Position

As the friendly face of the hotel bars, the Deco Bartender welcomes guests and serves as a helpful host, local expert, and brand ambassador. The role focuses on preparing drinks to guests’ preferences, serving food, and creating relaxing, memorable experiences. The bartender sets up and maintains the bar, manages supplies and inventory, handles transactions, and follows safety procedures. The position requires working night, weekend, and holiday shifts, standing for much of the day, and sometimes lifting, pushing, or pulling objects weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg). The hourly pay rate is $9.00. Eligible employees receive a benefits package that includes paid time off, medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), and other benefits.

Requirements

• Be able to stand for much of the day and perform frequent bending and kneeling.
• Be able to lift, push, and pull objects such as barrels and crates weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
• Have a good grasp of reading, writing, and basic mathematics.
• Be available for night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
• Know how to prepare a wide range of drinks.
• Meet local food-handling and alcohol-service laws, be above the locally required minimum age, and be fluent in the local language.
• Communicate well and be warm, welcoming, and easy to talk to.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm welcome and set the tone for each guest’s experience.
• Prepare and serve drinks to high standards and highlight promotions to guests.
• Work with restaurant colleagues to provide seamless food service.
• Set up the bar, stock supplies, manage inventory, and ensure equipment works.
• Change beer barrels.
• Keep the bar clean and tidy and ensure alcohol is secure.
• Handle cash and credit transactions.
• Wear the uniform with pride and maintain a smart appearance.
• Help colleagues with other ad-hoc duties as needed.
• Follow safety procedures.
