About The Position

As an Ashley Sales Associate, you will assist customers in finding and purchasing furniture for their homes. No prior furniture or sales experience is needed; in-house training provides essential product and sales knowledge. The role offers a guaranteed $2,080 per pay period during the initial 120-day training period. After training, associates can remain on the guaranteed pay or earn commissions on sales. Ashley Furniture is described as the number one furniture brand, with more than 1,000 stores. The Alaska Ashley stores are locally owned and operated as part of Furniture Enterprises of Alaska, a family of stores that currently operates 14 locations. Requirements

Ability to listen to and understand customer needs.
Ability to succeed in a team environment while also working independently.
Ability to learn the POS system and general computer programs, including email and word processing.
Ability to move around the showroom floor, including frequent walking, bending, sitting, and kneeling.
Ability to work retail hours, including weekends and holidays such as Memorial Day and Labor Day.
Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing and a background check.

Learn about products through informative meetings with manufacturer representatives.
Provide customers with information about the products sold.
Help create and present design plans using the in-house Interior Designer.
