About The Position

Verizon is hiring a full-time Retail Sales Associate to work onsite at a defined retail location. The role focuses on helping customers find technology products and services that meet their needs, delivering an exceptional customer experience, and achieving sales goals. Associates receive ongoing training and can develop skills across sales, merchandising, and inventory operations. The position also offers opportunities to reach customers through outbound calls and text messages and to represent Verizon at sponsored off-site community events. The role is commission-based, with a stated starting base pay rate of $19.71 per hour for the location listed on the requisition. The posting also describes a base-pay range of $16.00 to $21.00 per hour, potential individual commissions, and additional compensation opportunities; actual compensation varies by geography, hours worked, and performance. Eligible bilingual employees in eligible locations may receive an additional $3,000 annually after passing a language assessment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least one year of relevant experience, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; schedules are provided four weeks in advance.
Openness to picking up additional shifts, typically during summer, November through December, and/or peak vacation periods.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Generate retail sales using knowledge of technology and exceptional customer service.
Learn about customers’ needs by building connections and asking relevant questions.
Recommend products and solutions that provide customers with a complete sales solution.
Close sales by communicating effectively and offering simple, intuitive technology solutions.
Develop skills through ongoing training and perform operational functions across merchandising and inventory.
Contact interested current Verizon customers by outbound calls and text messages to grow the customer base.
Engage with the community at off-site Verizon-sponsored events.
