About The Position

Sun Tan City is hiring a Retail Sales Associate to provide customer service and product and service recommendations in a fast-paced salon. The associate will build relationships with clients, learn their needs, and help them choose tanning and wellness options. The role also includes meeting minimum sales requirements, cleaning salon areas and equipment, and working collaboratively with teammates while following company policies and procedures. Associates may work independently during shifts when business needs require. Compensation is $13.00–$15.00 per hour. The posting states that the base rate is $13.00 per hour or more, with performance bonuses; the stated average of $15.00 per hour is not guaranteed and reflects team members who meet performance and training criteria. Requirements

Basic computer skills and knowledge.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment.
Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes.
Ability to bend down to pick up trash, towels, and other items from floors.
Ability to perform cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
Ability to work independently and alone during shifts when business needs require.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service and ensure clients’ needs are met professionally.
Engage with clients, build relationships, and understand and meet their needs.
Recommend products and services to clients.
Maintain minimum sales requirements.
Multitask, including cleaning tanning beds as clients leave and engaging new clients when they arrive.
Help maintain cleanliness in tanning rooms, the lobby, restrooms, laundry, and storage areas.
Work cohesively with a team in an upbeat, fast-paced salon while following company policies and procedures.
