About The Position

As a full-time, onsite Verizon Retail Sales Associate, you will help customers find technology products and services that meet their needs while contributing to store sales. The role involves creating customer connections, asking questions to understand needs, recommending solutions, closing sales, and developing customer relationships through outreach and community events. You will also receive ongoing training and build skills in store operations, including merchandising and inventory. This is a commission-based role with a starting base pay rate of $18.27 per hour at the listed location. Compensation varies by geography, hours worked, and performance; eligible bilingual employees may receive an additional annual payment after passing a language assessment. The position is scheduled for 40 hours per week and requires evening, weekend, and holiday availability. Employees may be asked to pick up additional shifts during peak periods.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of relevant experience, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; schedules are provided four weeks in advance.
• Openness to picking up additional shifts, typically during summer, November through December, and/or peak vacation periods.

Responsibilities

• Generate retail sales by applying technology knowledge and customer service skills.
• Learn about customers’ needs by building connections and asking questions.
• Recommend products and solutions that provide customers with a complete sales solution.
• Close sales using communication skills to meet customer needs with intuitive technology solutions.
• Develop skills through ongoing training and perform operational functions across merchandising and inventory.
• Contact interested current Verizon customers by outbound calls and text messages to grow the customer base.
• Engage with the community, including at off-site Verizon-sponsored events, to expand the customer base.
