About The Position

As a Seasonal Retail Selling Colleague at Macy’s, you combine results-focused selling with genuine hospitality to create memorable holiday shopping experiences. You learn about customers’ needs, provide personalized recommendations, connect them with suitable products and services, and work toward sales goals through customer engagement and effective selling behaviors. During the day, you welcome customers, build rapport, maintain merchandise presentation, process damages and vendor returns, update signs and pricing, and support merchandise moves. You also share loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have what they need, and close interactions with a sincere thank-you. Seasonal colleagues are typically scheduled for 10–20 hours per week, depending on business needs and colleague availability. The position requires flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as dependable attendance and punctuality.
