About The Position

As a Retail Selling Colleague in Women’s Shoes, you combine results-focused selling with genuine hospitality to create standout shopping experiences. You learn about customers’ needs, provide personalized recommendations, and connect them with relevant products and services. You work on the sales floor and in fitting rooms, use product knowledge and a personal approach to build trust, meet sales goals, and encourage customer loyalty. The role is more than cashiering: customer service, selling, teamwork, and creating welcoming experiences are central to the work. You help keep the shopping space clean, organized, and inviting. At the start of the day, you prepare the sales floor, review sales goals, learn about new arrivals and top-selling items, and stay informed about trends and promotions. During the day, you engage customers, recover the sales floor and fitting rooms, update signs and pricing, and support merchandise moves. You share loyalty program benefits and ensure customers leave with what they need and a positive final impression. This is a seasonal role. Schedules include weekend shifts, and hours depend on business needs and colleague availability. Macy’s describes full-time colleagues as typically scheduled for 30 or more hours per week and part-time colleagues as typically scheduled for 12–24 hours per week; the specific schedule for this role is not stated.
