Seasonal Retail Sales and Recovery Associate, San Francisco Union Square
About The Position
As a Retail Sales & Recovery Colleague, you create a welcoming shopping experience through genuine hospitality and attention to detail. You help keep the store clean, organized, and visually engaging by maintaining merchandise displays, tidying fitting rooms, and keeping the sales floor customer-ready. You foster a warm environment for customers while supporting your team in achieving sales goals through consistent, high-quality service. Colleagues prepare the sales floor for customers, review goals and product information, and offer warm, personal customer service. Throughout the day, they recover the sales floor and fitting rooms, update signs and pricing, and support merchandise moves. They share Loyalty program benefits, help customers complete their purchases, and collaborate with colleagues to serve customers and the community. The role also involves taking pride in work, learning from others, and contributing to individual and store results. Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled 30 or more hours per week; part-time colleagues are typically scheduled 12–24 hours per week. Hours depend on business needs and colleague availability.
Requirements
- Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Read and understand employment policies and safety rules and procedures in English.
- Have flexible availability for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information.
- Be resourceful, eager to start a new venture, and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Be comfortable using electronic devices.
- Meet physical requirements that include talking, lifting, constant movement, standing, reaching, standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 25 pounds, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
- Have close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Frequently use computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and be able to process register transactions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain a clean, organized, customer-ready sales floor.
- Review goals, new arrivals, top sellers, and promotions to stay informed and ready to sell.
- Welcome customers and create friendly, personal conversations that encourage them to return.
- Recover the sales floor and fitting rooms throughout the day.
- Update signs and pricing and support merchandise moves as needed.
- Share Loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have what they need, and thank them for their business.
- Collaborate with colleagues to serve customers and communities.
- Work toward sales goals and learn from colleagues to support individual and store results.
