About The Position

The Retail Sales Agent handles payment transactions for retail outlets, keeps shelves stocked, maintains cleanliness, and provides superior customer service. The role assists customers with product selection and supports the sales process from product introduction through the sale and beyond when needed. It also assists with merchandise receiving, pricing, floor merchandising, back-stock warehousing and replenishment, and monthly inventory. The agent follows the established cleaning schedule and takes initiative to maintain an outstanding shop appearance. Familiarity with golf, tennis, and skiing products is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, plus six months of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training, experience, and education.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to provide excellent service to internal and external customers.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Understanding of the sports activities for which products are sold, including golf, tennis, and skiing.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with product selection in a timely fashion.
• Follow through on sales from product introduction through the sale and beyond when needed.
• Attend vendor clinics and employee training that support the development of the Retail team.
• Respond to customer requests promptly and provide S.M.I.L.E.S. guest service.
• Assist with receiving merchandise, pricing, merchandising products on the sales floor, and warehousing back stock.
• Assist with daily replenishment of back-stocked products on the sales floor.
• Assist with monthly inventory.
• Maintain a clean store by following the established cleaning schedule and taking initiative to maintain an outstanding shop appearance.
• Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
