About The Position

As a Receiving Colleague, also known as a Back of House Colleague, you will manage the flow of merchandise into the store. You will work with a team to ensure products are received, processed, and made available for sale efficiently and on time, while helping maintain merchandise and the stockroom. The role also includes customer service, order fulfillment, and supporting merchandise movement and store operations. It requires flexibility in a fast-paced environment and availability for various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods of at least two consecutive hours.
Frequent use of computers and handheld electronic equipment.
Ability to reach above eye level, crouch, kneel, stoop, and distinguish colors; perform constant movement and reach with arms and hands; and climb ladders.
Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Greet customers, answer questions, provide assistance, and promptly address concerns to support a positive shopping experience.
Receive and unload merchandise from delivery trucks, unpack vendor boxes, and remove merchandise from plastic bags and packaging.
Sort and organize merchandise by type, size, or category; ensure items are labeled, tagged, or marked for identification; and keep the receiving area clean and organized.
Complete processing and receiving activities according to productivity standards, timelines, and asset protection, inventory control, and compliance procedures; ensure promotional signage is accurate and current.
Transfer merchandise from the receiving area to the stockroom or sales floor, and assist the Merchandise Team with moving fixtures and merchandise for new product placement, season changes, and clearance sets.
Pick merchandise from the selling floor and pack it according to applicable policies and techniques; process shippable returns and abandoned in-store pickup orders.
Retrieve customer orders from back-of-house storage and deliver them curbside; monitor alerts to ensure Buy Online Pickup In-Store orders are ready on time.
Collaborate with colleagues to meet department goals, maintain a positive work environment, and communicate feedback, ideas, and concerns to colleagues and supervisors.
