About The Position

The Retail Part Time Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe store environment, with an emphasis on floor care. The role includes operating floor-care equipment and cleaning floors, glass, windows, and other store areas. The associate also supports customer experience, store recovery, merchandising standards, and business needs by being cross-trained in multiple store areas. The position is at TJ Maxx Store 1095 in Cumming, Georgia, and pays $13.25 to $13.75 per hour at starting pay. Actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

Operate the scrubber and buffer and maintain floor-care cleanliness standards.
Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
Maintain organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.
Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the lounge, restrooms, and front end.
Work in other store areas as needed, including the backroom, front end, and sales floor.
Support and respond to front-end coverage needs.
Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company policies, including shrink-reduction practices.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Perform other duties as assigned.
