About The Position

Nouria Energy Corporation is hiring a Retail Operations Team Member to help operate a company store during assigned shifts. The role is responsible for the proper and efficient operation of the station in accordance with company policy, contributing to store profitability and growth, and meeting customer needs. Team members are expected to provide courteous service and help maintain a safe, clean, and attractive store environment. The position requires a flexible schedule as needed and communication with management about store operations and issues that may affect them.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Read, understand, and write English at an eighth-grade level.
• Be able to validate identification before selling tobacco or alcohol, as required by regulations.
• Be able to lift up to 30 pounds and carry cases of milk, soft drinks, beer, and juice using proper lifting techniques; the physical requirements also state lifting up to 50 pounds at times.
• Remain calm and respond according to policies and procedures during emergencies.
• Tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products, and work in different temperature environments, including coolers, outdoors in various weather conditions, and inside the store.
• Be able to access all areas of the store, stand for prolonged periods, and spend prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Work a flexible schedule as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate the station properly and efficiently during the assigned shift, in accordance with company policy.
• Communicate verbally and in writing with management about store operations, including changes or issues that may adversely affect operations.
• Prepare a shift report at the end of the shift according to company guidelines.
• Provide a strong customer experience by greeting customers warmly, suggesting purchases, and promoting specials.
• Take responsibility for implementing the customer service program at the site level.
• Minimize safety risks to employees, customers, and suppliers; enforce environmental and hazardous-material regulations.
• Maintain store safety and security, and document accidents or incidents.
• Maintain the customer environment inside and around the store perimeter.
• Operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently and support the Safety and Health program.
• Promptly report workplace accidents, injuries, incidents, or illnesses and complete new-employee safety orientation procedures.
• Perform housekeeping duties and maintain the physical condition, safety, cleanliness, and attractiveness of store facilities.
• Perform other related duties as required.
