About The Position

Turing is seeking candidates with strong retail business operations, multi-store management, and team leadership experience, particularly experienced general or operations managers who oversee store performance, merchandising, and customer experience. In this role, you will work on projects that evaluate and improve AI using your business and retail operations expertise. Prior AI experience is not required; the projects provide an opportunity to learn how AI can enhance decision-making, sales performance, and end-to-end retail operations. The work includes designing and solving real-world retail management and operations scenarios to test AI reasoning, writing structured solutions, evaluating AI-generated outputs, and collaborating with AI researchers. The contractor/freelancer engagement is project-based, with projects lasting approximately one month and the possibility of extension. The role is fully remote and candidates must be based in the United States. Compensation varies by project.

Requirements

At least 4 years of experience as a General Manager, Operations Manager, or Retail Leader.
Strong understanding of retail operations, supply chain coordination, and sales execution strategies.
Excellent English communication and analytical reasoning skills.
Must be based in the United States.

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Operations, or Retail Management.
