About The Position

Guitar Center’s Retail Operations Associate supports store operations by handling inventory and shipments, completing daily tasks, and merchandising products to create a positive customer experience. The role is part of a company focused on helping musicians and others experience the joy of creating music and on providing inclusive, customer-first environments. Associates are expected to collaborate, focus on customers, show initiative, stay organized in a fast-paced environment, protect people and assets by following protocols, and learn the technology and systems needed for the job.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to work in a loud environment for 5–8 hours.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively with a team.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service and connect with customers.
• Ability to identify issues and opportunities, learn quickly, and take initiative.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow protocols and learn retail technology, systems, equipment, and computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Handle tasks related to inventory control.
• Ship and receive gear and other items.
• Prepare and execute inventory cycle counts.
• Stock and merchandise products according to a planogram.
• Print and place signage and price signs (POP).
• Handle cash.
• Maintain awareness of shrink and help control it.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
