About The Position

Altman Plants is hiring a Retail Merchandiser to work at retail store garden centers, independently and as part of a team. The role involves stocking and displaying fresh plants, maintaining a sales-ready appearance for plants and displays, and communicating with coworkers, vendors, and retail associates. The work is outdoors in varying weather and seasonal conditions, and hours vary according to season, weather, and sales demands. The normal shift is 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., including weekends, though hours may vary; the stated range is 20 to 40 hours. Paid training is provided. The role requires reliable transportation to assigned stores, a valid driver’s license and auto insurance, and a clean driving record.

Requirements

Proficiency with mobile apps for clocking in and out and completing tasks.

Responsibilities

Stock and display fresh plant material in garden centers from delivery racks.
Maintain a sales-ready appearance for plants and displays.
Communicate and work cooperatively with coworkers, vendors, and retail associates.
Remove and dispose of non-sellable plants.
Assist with inventory cycle counts.
Assist with resets, building displays, and special events.
Follow company policies and safety guidelines.
Keep work areas clean and safe.
Use tools such as pallet jacks, pruners, and ladders.
Work assigned schedules, including weekends and holidays.
Ensure empty delivery racks are ready and available for pickup.
Push loaded and empty delivery racks.
