About The Position

Altman Plants is hiring a Retail Merchandiser to serve garden centers at retail store locations, working both independently and as part of a team. The role involves stocking and displaying fresh plant material from delivery racks, maintaining a sales-ready appearance for plants and displays, removing non-sellable plants, assisting with inventory counts, and supporting resets, displays, and special events. The merchandiser communicates with coworkers, vendors, customers, and retail associates; follows company policies and safety guidelines; and keeps work areas clean and safe. The role uses tools such as pallet jacks, pruners, and ladders, and includes preparing empty delivery racks for pickup. Schedules and budgeted hours vary by season, weather, and sales demands. The posting lists hours of 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 25–40 hours, with hours varying. Work is outdoors in changing weather conditions and includes working weekends and holidays. Paid training is provided. Applicants need reliable transportation to assigned stores, a valid driver’s license and auto insurance, and a clean DMV driving record.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Stock and display fresh plant material in garden centers from delivery racks.
Maintain a sales-ready appearance for plants and displays.

Assist with inventory cycle counts.
Assist with resets, building displays, and special events.
