About The Position

Altman Plants is hiring Retail Merchandisers to work at retail store locations, independently and as part of a team. The role involves stocking and displaying fresh plant material, unloading plants from delivery racks, maintaining sales-ready plants and displays, and communicating with coworkers, vendors, and retail associates. The work takes place outdoors in changing seasonal weather, and scheduled hours vary with season, weather, and sales demands. The normal shift is 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., including weekends, although hours may vary; the stated schedule range is 20–40 hours. Paid training is provided. Requirements

Positive attitude and teamwork skills, with the ability to work unsupervised at times.
Ability to communicate well with customers, coworkers, managers, and store personnel.
Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently.
Comfort working in various weather conditions.
Proof of driver's license and auto insurance.
Reliable transportation to and from assigned stores.
Clean DMV driving record.
Proficiency with mobile apps for clocking in and out and completing tasks.

Responsibilities

Stock and display fresh plant material in garden centers from delivery racks.
Maintain a sales-ready appearance for plants and displays.
Work and communicate cooperatively with coworkers, vendors, and retail associates.
Remove and dispose of non-sellable plants.
Assist with inventory cycle counts.
Assist with resets, display building, and special events.
Follow company policies and safety guidelines.
Keep work areas clean and safe.
Use tools such as pallet jacks, pruners, and ladders.
Work assigned schedules, including weekends and holidays.
Ensure empty delivery racks are ready and available for pickup.
