About The Position

SPAR is expanding its part-time Retail Merchandiser team. Merchandisers service a variety of client and retailer locations, performing merchandising work during client-designated time windows rather than necessarily at specific hours. Work may include servicing products, conducting resets and product cut-ins, processing returns, placing point-of-purchase materials, and other general merchandising activities. Ongoing assignments may involve weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly visits. Travel between stores may be required. SPAR provides end-to-end retail and consumer goods services, using software solutions and experienced resources to help clients ensure products are available and compellingly presented. The company states that it has more than 50 years of experience serving clients.

Requirements

Merchandising and/or retail experience.
Availability during weekday daytime hours.
Ability to understand planograms.
Ability to repeatedly carry and lift up to 40 pounds.
Ability to bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
Internet access and an active email address.
An Android or iOS smartphone and/or tablet for wireless reporting.
Reliable transportation; some travel is involved.

Responsibilities

Meet with the site or department manager, as applicable, to review service-call objectives.
Locate displays.
Remove old product from displays.
Complete full inventory and scanning.
Validate product stocking, merchandising, and display systems using planograms.
Maintain quality results by following and enforcing standards.
Travel between stores as needed to manage merchandise setup, displays, or current promotions.
Complete the call form and upload photos taken.
Report client work completions on the same day as service.
