About The Position

SPAR is hiring part-time Retail Merchandisers to service a variety of clients and retailers through weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly visits. Merchandising work is generally scheduled within a client’s available service window rather than fixed hours, allowing for a flexible schedule. Work may include servicing products, resets, product cut-ins, returns, point-of-purchase placement, and other general merchandising activities. Some travel between stores is involved. SPAR has more than 50 years of experience serving companies in retail and consumer goods. It provides end-to-end services to help ensure clients’ products are available and presented effectively, using software solutions, experienced resources, and a focus on results.

Requirements

Merchandising and/or retail experience.
Availability during weekday daytime hours.
Ability to understand planograms.
Ability to repeatedly carry and lift up to 40 pounds.
Ability to bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
Internet access and an active email address.
An Android or iOS smartphone and/or tablet for wireless reporting.
Reliable transportation; some travel is involved.

Responsibilities

Meet with the Site or Department Manager, as applicable, to review the objectives of the service call.
Locate displays.
Remove old product from displays.
Complete full inventory and scanning.
Validate product stocking, merchandising, and display systems using planograms.
Maintain quality results by following and enforcing standards.
Travel between stores as needed to manage merchandise setup, displays, or current promotions.
Complete the call form and upload photos taken.
Report completed client work on the same day as service.
