About The Position

SPAR is expanding its part-time Retail Merchandiser team. Merchandisers service a variety of clients and retailers, performing work such as resets, product cut-ins, returns, point-of-purchase placement, and other general merchandising activities. Visits may be weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, and work is generally scheduled within a client’s time window rather than fixed hours, allowing for a flexible schedule. Some travel between stores may be involved. SPAR provides end-to-end retail and consumer goods services, using software solutions and experienced resources to help clients make their products available and compellingly presented.

Requirements

Merchandising and/or retail experience.
Availability during weekday daytime hours.
Ability to understand planograms.
Ability to repeatedly carry and lift up to 40 lbs.
Ability to bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
Internet access and an active email address.
Android or iOS smartphone and/or tablet for wireless reporting.
Reliable transportation; some travel is involved.

Responsibilities

Meet with the site or department manager, as applicable, to review service-call objectives.
Locate displays.
Remove old products from displays.
Complete full inventory and scanning.
Validate product stocking, merchandising, and display systems using planograms.
Maintain quality results by following and enforcing standards.
Possibly travel between stores and manage merchandise setup, displays, or current promotions.
Complete the call form and upload photos.
Report completed client work on the same day as service.
