About The Position

SPAR is expanding its part-time Retail Merchandiser team. Merchandisers service a variety of clients and retailers on ongoing schedules that may include weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly visits. Much of the work is organized around a client’s service window rather than fixed hours, providing a flexible schedule. The role may involve servicing products, conducting resets and product cut-ins, processing returns, placing point-of-purchase materials, and performing other general merchandising activities. Some travel between stores may be involved.

Requirements

• Merchandising and/or retail experience.
• Availability during weekday daytime hours.
• Ability to understand planograms.
• Ability to repeatedly carry and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
• Internet access with an active email address.
• An Android or iOS smartphone and/or tablet for wireless reporting.
• Reliable transportation; some travel is involved.

Responsibilities

• Meet with the site or department manager, as applicable, to review the objectives of the service call.
• Locate displays.
• Remove old product from displays.
• Complete full inventory and scanning.
• Validate product stocking, merchandising, and display systems using planograms.
• Maintain quality results by following and enforcing standards.
• Travel between stores as needed to manage merchandise setup, displays, or current promotions.
• Complete the call form and upload photos taken.
• Report client work completions on the same day as service.
