About The Position

Kalan is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented Retail Merchandiser to maintain and display its consumer products in assigned retail stores. This independent contractor role involves short store visits, usually twice per month and increasing to weekly during the holiday season. Merchandisers work in person at assigned stores, manage their own schedules, and receive a flat rate per completed visit. After each visit, the merchandiser submits an invoice by email for payment.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Be reliable, professional, and punctual, and able to work independently.
Have strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Be comfortable using a smartphone or tablet with internet access for reporting.
Be able to follow written instructions and communicate by email or phone.
Be able to regularly lift 40 pounds and reach, bend, crouch, kneel, push, pull, and walk.
Be able to stand for several hours at a time.

Nice To Haves

Merchandising or retail experience is a plus but is not required.

Responsibilities

Merchandise and display products in the assigned store within five days of shipment arrival.
Use a planogram to organize and refresh product displays.
Remove damaged or discontinued items.
Take date-stamped photos of completed work and upload them through the reporting system.
Submit an invoice by email for payment after each completed visit.
