About The Position

Kalan, a third-generation consumer products company, is hiring a Retail Merchandiser to maintain and display its products in assigned retail stores. This is an independent contractor (1099), part-time role with short assignments, usually two visits per month and increasing to weekly during the holiday season. The role offers flexible scheduling and flat-rate pay per visit. Work is performed in person at assigned stores.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Be reliable, professional, and punctual, and able to work independently.
Have strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Be comfortable using a smartphone or tablet with internet access for reporting.
Be able to follow written instructions and communicate by email or phone.
Be able to regularly lift 40 pounds and reach, bend, crouch, kneel, push, pull, and walk.
Be able to stand for several hours at a time.

Merchandising or retail experience.

Responsibilities

Merchandise and display products in the assigned store within five days of shipment arrival.
Use a planogram to organize and refresh product displays.
Remove damaged or discontinued items.
Take date-stamped photos of completed work and upload them through the reporting system.
Submit an invoice by email for payment after each completed visit.
