About The Position

As a Financial Relationship Banker, you help consumer and business customers achieve their financial goals by identifying their needs and recommending appropriate deposit, loan, and other banking products and services. The role is part of a welcoming and inclusive branch team, with opportunities to share ideas that affect customers, the bank, and local communities. The position is office-based in Tupelo, Mississippi, at Barnes Crossing.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of customer service and sales experience in banking, financial services, goal-driven retail sales, or business-to-business sales; alternatively, military service in administration, contracting, civil affairs, or a similar role.
• Ability to meet additional background check requirements, including providing fingerprints as required by NMLS regulations.
• Ability to build, deepen, and retain relationships.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfort with technology, including mobile and online banking services.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree.
• At least 1 year of customer service and sales experience in banking, financial services, goal-driven retail sales, or business-to-business sales.
• Acumen in banking, sales, investments, consumer lending, business banking, business lending, customer service, and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of consumer and business deposit products.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and effectively resolve customer issues.
• Proactively identify opportunities to grow customer relationships through pre-set appointments, Centers of Influence, a disciplined sales process, a new customer follow-up program, and referrals from customers, bank colleagues, and partners.
• Educate and refer customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build internal partnerships.
• Educate customers on optimizing their use of online, mobile, and ATM banking technology.
• Maintain knowledge of products, services, technology, and policies.
• Follow operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
