AAA Membership Sales Specialist
About The Position
AAA Club Alliance is hiring an experienced, full-time Retail Membership Sales Specialist for its retail location at 1004 N Eisenhower Drive, Beckley, WV 25801. The role focuses on selling and processing AAA memberships, engaging with existing and prospective members, and providing knowledgeable support for membership-related questions. Associates may also provide backup assistance with cashiering, tag and title, and IDEMIA services, if applicable. The starting base compensation is $15.50 to $19.83 per hour, adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. The position is eligible for incentive pay, with an average payout of $162 to $500 per month. Store hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; the work week is 37.5 hours, with no Sundays. Full-time retail associates can accrue up to three weeks of paid time off during their first year. Full-time associates are offered medical, dental, and vision plan options; up to two weeks of paid parental leave; a 401(k) plan with company match up to 7%; more than two weeks of PTO within the first year; paid company holidays; company-provided volunteer opportunities and one volunteer day per year; free AAA membership; and continual learning reimbursement up to $5,250 per year.
Requirements
- At least three years of sales and customer service experience.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Computer proficiency, including the ability to navigate multiple websites and programs and multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Notary Public designation or willingness to obtain it within six months of employment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Satisfactory pre-employment and post-employment screening results, including criminal, drug, and state- and/or vendor-specific screenings.
- Ability to obtain any necessary membership license or other credentials required to perform the essential functions of the position.
Responsibilities
- Sell and process new AAA memberships, maximizing opportunities to upsell and cross-sell upgrades and add-ons.
- Engage with the membership base through in-store sales, inquiries, and outbound calls.
- Welcome new members, present promotions, and initiate discussions about upgrade opportunities.
- Accurately document leads and interactions, maintaining clear records for future reference.
- Provide expert guidance and support for membership-related inquiries in the store.
- Provide backup assistance with cashiering, tag and title, and IDEMIA services, if applicable.
