Retail Membership Sales Specialist
About The Position
AAA Club Alliance is hiring an experienced, full-time Retail Membership Sales Specialist for its retail store at 9475 Roosevelt Boulevard, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The role focuses on selling and processing AAA memberships, identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell upgrades and add-ons, and supporting members through in-store interactions and outbound calls. The specialist documents leads and customer interactions, provides guidance on membership-related questions, and may provide backup support for Cashiering, Tag and Title, and IDEMIA services when applicable. The position has a 37.5-hour work week. Store hours are Monday through Wednesday, 8:30 AM–5 PM; Thursday, 8:30 AM–6 PM; and Saturday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM. The posting states there are no Sunday shifts. Starting base pay is $19.15–$24.50 per hour, adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors. The position is eligible for incentive pay, with an average payout of $162–$500 per month.
Requirements
- At least three years of sales and customer service experience.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Computer proficiency, including the ability to navigate multiple websites and programs while multitasking.
- Notary Public designation, or willingness to obtain it within six months of employment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Satisfactory pre-employment and post-employment screening results, including criminal, drug, and state- and/or vendor-specific screenings.
- Ability to obtain a required Membership license or other license needed to perform the essential functions of the position.
Responsibilities
- Sell and process new AAA memberships.
- Maximize opportunities to upsell and cross-sell membership upgrades and add-ons.
- Engage with members through in-store sales, inquiries, and outbound calls.
- Welcome new members, present promotions, and initiate discussions about upgrade opportunities.
- Accurately document leads and customer interactions for future reference.
- Provide expert guidance and support for membership-related customer inquiries.
- Provide backup assistance with Cashiering, Tag and Title, and IDEMIA services when applicable.
