About The Position
The Salon Director in Training helps drive store performance, foster superior client service, and maintain operational excellence to meet or exceed productivity goals. This role manages and supervises Tanning Consultants, leads by example in company operations, and holds the team accountable for delivering an exceptional client experience. The position monitors daily salon operations in a fast-paced environment, supports sales and revenue goals, maintains a clean and professional salon, and assists with staffing, inventory, reporting, and expense control. The role also sets team goals and provides coaching, training, and feedback to improve performance. The workweek is five days, approximately 35 to 45 hours depending on hourly or salary status. The role requires availability to work nights and weekends.
Requirements
- Management and/or sales experience required.
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to use Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple situations simultaneously.
- Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
- Problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills.
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to coach and mentor.

Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage daily salon operations in a fast-paced environment.
- Lead by example in company operations, creating a client-centric experience and meeting personal sales expectations.
- Maintain a professional and impeccably clean salon environment.
- Establish clear goals and objectives for team members.
- Coach, train, and provide feedback to improve team members’ daily performance.
- Generate sales reports, maintain inventory, and assist with other Salon Director functions.
- Assist the Salon Director in controlling revenue and expenses.
- Help maintain appropriate staffing levels to support productivity and customer service while controlling labor costs.
