Retail Manager in Training Full Time
About The Position
The Salon Director in Training helps drive store performance, foster superior client service, and maintain operational excellence to meet or exceed productivity goals. This position manages and supervises Tanning Consultants, leads by example in salon operations, and holds the team accountable for delivering an exceptional client experience. The role monitors the salon’s daily operations in a fast-paced environment, supports sales and cost management, helps maintain staffing levels, and contributes to team training and development. The schedule may include nights and weekends and is approximately five days and 35 to 45 hours per week, depending on hourly or salary status.
Requirements
- Management and/or sales experience required.
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to use Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage multiple situations simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
- Problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills.
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to coach and mentor.
- Team-building skills.
- Ability to prioritize and delegate.
- Ability to work nights and weekends.
- Ability to work a five-day schedule of approximately 35 to 45 hours per week, depending on hourly or salary status.

Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage the salon’s daily operations in a fast-paced environment.
- Lead by example in company operations, creating a client-centric experience and meeting personal sales expectations.
- Maintain a professional and impeccably clean salon environment.
- Establish clear goals and objectives for team members.
- Coach, train, and provide feedback to improve team members’ daily performance.
- Generate sales reports, maintain inventory, and assist with other Salon Director functions.
- Assist the Salon Director in controlling revenue and expenses.
- Help maintain proper staffing levels to support productivity and customer service while controlling labor costs.
