About The Position

Boscov's is seeking a Loss Prevention Detective to join its retail operations team. The role uses loss prevention experience to reduce losses from theft and incorrect business procedures in a dynamic retail environment. The Detective guards, patrols, and monitors store premises to prevent theft, violence, and violations of rules, while supporting security and retail operations asset management.

Requirements

• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with customers, management, and coworkers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Availability to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, early openings, and late closings.

• Prior experience in retail loss prevention is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide loss prevention support and awareness through policies, procedures, and personal involvement.
• Provide surveillance and assist police with shoplifter apprehensions.
• Conduct store opening and closing procedures.
• Perform safety audits, safety and fire prevention activities, and inspections.
• Respond to alarms.
• Conduct insurance inspections and investigations.
• Guard, patrol, and monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
