About The Position

The Key Carrier role is an elevated extension of the Coordinator role. Key Carriers primarily perform Coordinator duties and occasionally act as Key Carrier based on store needs, taking on a leadership role in maintaining all aspects of the store. Key Carriers must have open availability, including nights and weekends, and serve as role models for exceptional customer service. The role creates positive customer experiences, acts as Manager on Duty in accordance with company policy and procedure, and ensures the store team completes tasks according to the store plan. It includes addressing customer service issues, coaching Associates, maintaining appropriate service-area coverage, overseeing operational and opening/closing procedures, communicating priorities and progress, supporting Associate development, and promoting compliance, safety, credit and loyalty programs, and shrink reduction goals. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends; open availability is required.

Knowledge of company standard software, systems, and procedures.
Knowledge of merchandise flow in stores.
Proven problem-solving skills.

Superior communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
At least 1 year of retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Create a positive internal and external customer experience and model exceptional customer service.
Promote honesty and integrity and maintain confidentiality.
Act as Manager on Duty, adhering to company policies and procedures.
Ensure the store team performs tasks and activities in accordance with the store plan, prioritizing as needed.
Address immediate customer service issues and provide appropriate coaching to Associates.
Exercise discretion regarding customer service policies to satisfy customers.
Maintain accurate Associate coverage in service areas.
Ensure Associates adhere to operational procedures and opening and closing procedures follow company guidelines.
Communicate priorities and progress accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback; provide feedback, recognition, and coaching to Associates.
Partner with Management on Associate training needs.
Ensure adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Support and participate in shrink reduction goals and programs.
Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
