About The Position

The Retail Store Floor Lead leads the retail sales team by example, connects with customers, communicates Vuori’s brand values through product knowledge and an optimistic outlook, and encourages the team to maintain retail sales and customer-experience standards. The Floor Lead is part of the store leadership team, supervises the retail floor, delegates work, and serves as a go-to person. Under the Store Manager’s direction, the Floor Lead assists with leadership duties and works directly with the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager. The role focuses on creating memorable customer experiences, supporting daily store operations and sales goals, and helping maintain the store. When the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager is not present, the Floor Lead leads the team in day-to-day operations. The position also supports sales strategy, community and team management, inventory needs, visual merchandising, and opening and closing procedures.

Requirements

Available for morning and/or evening shifts, working 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week, and available at least one weekend day.
Demonstrated punctuality and attendance, and adherence to scheduled shifts.
Ability to develop relationships with customers and colleagues.
Customer-service expertise, including creating experiences, developing customer relationships, embracing the social aspect of sales, and proactively handling customer concerns.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to quickly learn new procedures and processes.
Strong organizational and follow-through skills.

Responsibilities

Work with the sales team to ensure each customer receives the best possible experience.
Take ownership of the sales floor and team, keeping customer experience the first priority.
Prepare fitting rooms, find sizes, and provide customers with knowledgeable and honest feedback about merchandise style and fit.
Build relationships with customers by discussing product details, new products, and replenishment, and inviting them to upcoming events.
Stay knowledgeable about new and well-selling products and share that knowledge with customers and the team.
Lead day-to-day store operations when the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager is not present.
Motivate the sales team and work toward sales goals in a team-based commission environment.
Develop product knowledge across the broader fashion landscape, especially activewear, to serve customers as an expert.
Lead the team in completing projects while maintaining focus on customer experience.
Communicate inventory needs to support business goals.
Work with the Retail Store Manager on daily maintenance, sales strategy, community, and team management.
Lead daily store maintenance, including restocking, maintaining visual merchandising, and cleaning.
Follow protocol and safety standards when opening and closing the store.
Encourage employees, under the Retail Store Manager’s guidance, to give their full effort and adhere to punctuality and role responsibilities.
