About The Position

Flexible Project Work - Field & Network technicians handle implementing, maintaining, upgrading, and or repairing networks/ networked devices such as access point, router, switches, pos systems, printers, and modems. Set up and troubleshoot connections in many different environments and connect them with physical cables or wireless frequencies, creating adequate signal strength throughout a location for a client's use. This role is ideal for freelancers, small business owners, and individuals with a background in flexible project work.

Requirements

Current Driver’s License, insurance, and a vehicle.
Previous IT or Related technical technician experience.
Technically inclined – experience with Cabling runs/ management/ testing/ terminating.
Excellent communication skills via phone, text, and email.
Smart Phone mobile device.
Flexible availability.
Ability to lift 60 pounds or more.
Able to climb up and down ladders.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Superior knowledge of various networking technologies.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Aptitude for customer support.
Over the age of 18.

Nice To Haves

Certifications are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Implementing, maintaining, upgrading, and/or repairing networks/ networked devices such as access points, routers, switches, POS systems, printers, and modems.
Setting up and troubleshooting connections in various environments.
Connecting devices using physical cables or wireless frequencies.
Ensuring adequate signal strength throughout a location for client use.
Performing network provisioning.
Testing networks, Wi-Fi signals, and performing heat mapping.
Installing and troubleshooting access points, routers, and switches.
Frequent use of hand tools.
Traveling to various markets.
Working in facility ceiling spaces/crawl spaces.
