About The Position

Network technicians implement, maintain, upgrade, and repair networks and networked devices, including access points, routers, switches, POS systems, printers, and modems. They set up and troubleshoot connections in varied environments, using physical cables or wireless frequencies to create adequate signal strength for client use. This role requires travel across various markets and flexible availability. Training is provided.

Requirements

• Be over the age of 18.
• Hold a current driver's license and have insurance and a vehicle.
• Have previous IT or related technical experience.
• Have technical aptitude and experience with cabling and network provisioning.
• Have a smartphone mobile device.
• Have flexible availability.
• Have strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Have knowledge of various networking technologies.
• Have effective communication and teamwork skills and aptitude for customer support.
• Be able to use hand tools frequently.
• Be able to lift 60 pounds or more on occasion and climb up and down ladders.
• Be able to use a computer and telephone system.

Nice To Haves

• Certifications are a plus but are not required.

Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain, upgrade, and repair networks and networked devices.
• Set up and troubleshoot network connections in varied environments.
• Perform cabling runs, management, testing, and termination, as well as network provisioning.
• Test networks and Wi-Fi signals, including heat mapping.
• Install and troubleshoot access points, routers, and switches.
• Provide customer support and communicate effectively by phone, text, and email.
• Travel to locations in various markets.
