About The Position

We are seeking a hands-on Retail ERP Consultant to support a significant ERP consolidation initiative. The project will bring multiple business units currently operating on separate ERP systems onto a centralized NCR Power HQ (formerly Retalix HQ) environment. The consultant will assess the current Power HQ design, identify and implement necessary configuration changes, migrate data, and modify integrations to support the additional business units. The engagement is project-based, hourly W2, at 40 hours per week, starting at six months with potential to continue for multiple years.

Requirements

Deep hands-on experience with NCR Power HQ and/or Retalix HQ, including system configuration and implementation.
Strong understanding of retail merchandising processes, including item, vendor, and merchandising hierarchy setup.
Experience with ERP data migration, including mapping, conversion, and validation.
Experience assessing and modifying integrations with downstream systems such as POS, finance, ecommerce, and vendor EDI.
Experience evaluating an existing ERP environment and identifying necessary configuration or design changes.
Ability to work across functional and technical areas and partner effectively with business, technology, and program leadership.
Comfort providing hands-on expertise from initial assessment and solution design through migration and implementation.

Experience consolidating multiple business units or banners onto a single ERP instance and/or leading a major ERP migration or transformation.

Responsibilities

Assess the current NCR Power HQ environment and system design to determine readiness for consolidation.
Recommend and implement configuration changes needed to bring multiple business units onto a single Power HQ instance.
Lead or support configuration for item setup and management, vendor setup and management, and merchandising hierarchies.
Plan and execute data migration from the legacy ERP into Power HQ.
Assess and modify integrations between Power HQ and downstream systems, including POS, finance, ecommerce, and vendor EDI.
Identify where the existing Power HQ environment may need reconfiguration to support the consolidated model.
Partner with technology and program leadership, leveraging internal development resources throughout the initiative.
Provide hands-on functional and technical expertise to guide system design, migration, and implementation decisions.
