About The Position

M&S Consulting is hiring an experienced NetSuite ERP Consultant to lead the implementation, configuration, and enhancement of enterprise ERP platforms. The role combines independent verification and validation (IV&V) engagements with hands-on ERP delivery. The consultant will assess whether complex ERP implementations meet quality and risk expectations and will also design, configure, integrate, and develop NetSuite solutions. Strong finance expertise is essential to ensure system designs support financial close, controls, and reporting. The consultant will advise clients on ERP architecture, implementation approaches, vendor selection, and program governance; verify and validate project stages; and provide objective, evidence-based findings while helping resolve identified issues. In delivery engagements, the consultant will lead full-lifecycle implementations, configure finance and transactional modules, create custom solutions, develop integrations, migrate data, and build reporting and analytics. The role also includes supporting testing, deployment, cutover, go-live stabilization, compliance, and ongoing ERP improvement. The consultant will work with Finance, Accounting, Operations, IT, clients, and vendors; provide technical leadership; and clearly document designs, tests, and findings for client leadership. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
At least 7 years of experience in ERP systems configuration, development, or implementation.
Strong finance and accounting knowledge, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue recognition, and billing, as well as internal controls such as GAAP and SOX.
Hands-on NetSuite experience across financial and transactional modules, including configuration, workflows, scripting, and customization.
Strong integration experience using APIs, middleware, or iPaaS tools.
Experience with data migration and financial data mapping.
Experience with the full implementation lifecycle, including requirements, design, build, testing and UAT, cutover, and go-live.
Solution architecture experience and ability to translate business and finance requirements into technical solutions.
Strong communication skills with technical and finance stakeholders, including delivering candid, objective findings tactfully to client executives.
Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments and comfort working in multi-vendor programs.

Nice To Haves

NetSuite SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, and SuiteTalk experience, and NetSuite certifications such as ERP Consultant or SuiteCloud Developer.
Salesforce ecosystem integration experience, including Salesforce-to-ERP integrations.
Experience with revenue recognition and project accounting models, NetSuite OneWorld, or SuiteBilling.
Experience with multi-entity or global ERP implementations.
Experience with financial reporting tools or data warehouses.
CPA, MBA, finance degree, or accounting background.
Experience with comparable platforms such as Certinia, Oracle, SAP, Workday Financials, or Acumatica.
Experience in consulting or systems integrator environments, including solution architect or workstream lead roles.
Exposure to IV&V, QA, or test engineering practices, such as IEEE 1012.
Experience supporting public-sector or federal clients and leading or mentoring consulting teams.

Responsibilities

Plan and prepare for project kickoffs by helping clients define IV&V approach, scope, success criteria, and quality and risk expectations.
Review vendor statements of work and proposals for scope, testable requirements, acceptance criteria, deliverables, assumptions, and gaps.
Advise clients on NetSuite architecture, implementation approach, vendor selection, and program governance, and identify risks early.
Verify and validate requirements, architecture and design, configuration and build, integration and testing, and go-live readiness.
Review data migration, integrations, and hand-offs between vendors and systems.
Provide objective, evidence-based findings and help clients resolve identified issues while collaborating constructively with vendors and integrators.
Lead full-lifecycle implementation of ERP systems such as NetSuite, Certinia, or similar platforms.
Configure ERP modules across finance, accounting, billing, revenue recognition, procure-to-pay, and order-to-cash, including workflows, roles, and permissions.
Translate financial and business requirements into scalable ERP system designs.
Design and build custom solutions using platform tools, scripting, extensions, SuiteScript, SuiteFlow workflows, custom records, saved searches, and configuration tools.
Develop and support integrations with CRM, banking, billing, payroll, and other third-party systems.
Perform data migration, cleansing, mapping, and validation from legacy systems.
Build reports, dashboards, and financial analytics for FP&A and operational reporting.
Support testing, deployment, cutover planning, and post-go-live stabilization, and improve ERP performance and scalability.
Apply financial controls and compliance requirements, including GAAP and SOX, in system design.
Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Operations, and IT stakeholders to optimize ERP workflows and bridge finance and technical teams.
Provide technical leadership on ERP architecture, configuration standards, and best practices.
Document designs, test results, and findings clearly for client leadership.
