NetSuite Implementation Consultant
About The Position
As a member of Crowe’s Consulting Practice, the NetSuite Implementation Consultant helps clients address business needs, improve operating performance, and make effective use of technology and data. The role supports the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of NetSuite ERP solutions, with hands-on technical work, customization, integrations, and client support. Consultants analyze current practices and processes and help develop solutions informed by industry practices and benchmarks. The role also involves learning and collaboration, developing client relationships, and supporting account strategy and delivery excellence. The consultant configures NetSuite to meet client requirements; gathers and analyzes business requirements; develops SuiteScript customizations and system integrations; tests, troubleshoots, and optimizes solutions; and produces technical documentation and training materials. The position works with clients and cross-functional teams to support implementation and user adoption, uphold development standards, manage risks and issues, and recommend business process improvements. It requires willingness to travel 60% or more annually.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a listed field or a comparable major.
- Basic understanding of the NetSuite ERP platform and its capabilities.
- Proficiency in SuiteScript and JavaScript for customizing and extending NetSuite.
- Basic knowledge of integration tools and techniques, including SuiteTalk (Web Services) and RESTlets.
- Basic knowledge of data management and database concepts.
- Experience with tools and frameworks for unit and integration testing.
- Experience with documentation and knowledge-management tools such as Confluence or SharePoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment and build positive working relationships.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and a fast-paced environment, and willingness to learn new technologies and continuously improve skills.
- Willingness to travel 60% or more annually.

Responsibilities
- Assist in designing and configuring NetSuite ERP solutions to meet business requirements.
- Customize NetSuite modules, including Financials, CRM, Inventory, and Order Management.
- Develop custom SuiteScript solutions to extend NetSuite functionality.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Assist in developing functional specification designs, including functional requirements and business scenarios.
- Develop and implement integrations between NetSuite and other systems using SuiteTalk, RESTlets, and other integration tools.
- Ensure seamless data flow and communication between integrated systems.
- Conduct unit and integration testing; identify and fix bugs; and assist in preparing and executing test plans, cases, and scripts.
- Monitor and optimize solution performance and apply performance-tuning best practices.
- Create technical documentation, including code comments, specifications, and user guides, and share knowledge and best practices.
- Provide technical support to end users and clients, troubleshoot issues, and debug the NetSuite system and custom code.
- Engage with clients to understand technical needs, provide solutions, and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted technical advisor.
- Assist in developing training materials and conducting client training, and provide ongoing support for user adoption.
- Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and developers; participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning and status updates.
- Keep current with NetSuite and related technologies and improve skills through training, certifications, and self-study.
- Follow development standards, coding guidelines, and best practices; support code quality and maintainability through code reviews and development processes.
- Identify technical risks and issues, assist with mitigation strategies, and monitor and report their status.
- Develop an understanding of client business processes, assess how they align with NetSuite capabilities, and recommend process improvements.
