About The Position

2020 Companies is hiring a Seasonal Retail Engagement Specialist to build relationships with retail partners, increase awareness of a client’s financial services and programs, and support business growth across an assigned territory. This is a field-based role involving daily travel to approximately 22–30 retail locations, merchant education and support, in-store merchandising, visit documentation, and follow-up. The position is expected to last 90 days from the date of hire. The schedule is Monday through Friday, and pay is $25 per hour plus the opportunity to earn a 10% monthly bonus. The specialist works independently in the field while partnering with leadership and training teams. Duties include introducing merchants to client products, answering questions, addressing concerns, placing and maintaining point-of-sale materials, documenting visits and activity, and reporting merchant feedback and competitive information. The role also involves scheduling store visits in advance, meeting visit and in-store time goals, and traveling to major markets and events for product launches. The job requires a personal vehicle, valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Record screening. Reliable transportation within the assigned territory is required. The role requires the ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Six months of prior sales, promotion, retail, or marketing experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of products and services.
Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; professional and customer-focused manner.
Ability to work independently in a field-based environment and manage a daily route.

Responsibilities

Partner with the client to train and advocate for client products at retail locations.
Drive merchant awareness within the assigned territory.
Build and maintain professional relationships with merchants and fellow employees.
Attempt to place point-of-purchase signage inside and/or outside businesses, and maintain in-store materials and branding.
Advise merchants by providing information about products and services.
Provide on-site support, answer questions, and address merchant concerns.
Audit and record competitive products, promotions, merchandising, displays, and merchant feedback.
Travel to major markets and events for product launches and assist with launch-related activities as needed.
Track and communicate activity accurately to Retail Operations and submit feedback reports in a timely manner.
Visit multiple locations daily and weekly, schedule store visits at least two weeks in advance, and execute assigned activities at each location.
Meet or exceed quarterly visit goals and weekly in-store time goals.
Maintain appropriate documentation for each visit.
Manage a daily route of approximately 22–30 retail locations, depending on geography and scheduling.
Manage in-store engagement, driving, and administrative follow-up throughout the day.
