About The Position

One Vision Thrift Solutions is hiring a full-time Department Manager for its Clear Lake Thrift Store. This hands-on retail leadership role oversees daily store operations and team performance, while supporting marketing, social media engagement, and community involvement. The position contributes to funding One Vision’s services for individuals with disabilities, including support for meaningful work, homes, and personal independence. The role is safety sensitive and contingent upon a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Requirements

At least 1 year of retail sales or customer service experience.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Comfort using social media platforms to promote store events, sales, and community engagement.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing.
Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
Contingent upon a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

2 years of management or leadership experience preferred.
Leadership or management experience, including the ability to coach and develop team members, is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily store operations and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
Lead, supervise, coach, train, and motivate staff to meet sales and production goals.
Drive marketing and social media efforts to build awareness and engagement for promotions, events, and community involvement.
Ensure exceptional customer service, positive donor interactions, and smooth volunteer experiences.
Support the Store Manager with scheduling, merchandising, inventory, and performance management.
