About The Position

Nordstrom Rack team members work in a fast-paced, high-energy retail environment, collaborating to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere and a quick, easy customer experience. Team members keep the store clean and clutter-free and may work in different store areas to maintain sales floors and stockrooms and assist customers. Roles are available in Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment; applicants can discuss their preferred role during the interview process. Sales and Customer Service duties include keeping the sales floor ready through re-merchandising and straightening, assisting customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions, operating point-of-sale systems, bagging merchandise, supporting fitting rooms, and sorting and returning clothing to the floor. Team members also organize stockrooms, check in and ticket merchandise, use store technologies, follow operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards, and promote programs such as Nordstrom Rewards. Stock Support and Fulfillment duties include receiving and processing freight, delivering merchandise to selling departments, fulfilling and shipping customer orders to quality standards, using inventory management systems to process and research shipments, maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms, and providing general store support such as setting up events, organizing backrooms, markdowns, and relocating fixtures. The position requires continuous movement and frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, reaching, and hand use. Team members handle merchandise and bulky items, regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Stock and Fulfillment team members frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. The hourly pay range is $18.85–$19.65, depending on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with teammates to provide a welcoming, inclusive, quick, and easy customer experience.
Keep the store, sales floor, and stockrooms clean, clutter-free, and organized.
Re-merchandise and straighten the sales floor throughout the day so it remains ready for customers.
Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions, operate point-of-sale systems, and bag merchandise.
Support fitting room customers and sort and return clothing to the sales floor.
Check in merchandise, ensure it is accurately ticketed, and maintain organized stockrooms.
Use store technologies and follow operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver it to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders and prepare orders for shipment according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating fixtures.
